Otra de las novedades que llevaré a Leganés 2020 es este
teniente republicano en 60mm. No era una figura que tuviera prevista, surgió a
partir de una historia familiar, en concreto mi abuelo materno, que fue
teniente de la República durante la guerra, y que tristemente fue fusilado en 1940
víctima de la represión con la acusación de “adhesión a la rebelión”. Me
pareció realmente increíble que una sentencia así fuera dictada por quienes se
habían alzado en armas contra el gobierno establecido legalmente. Si duda aquellos
fueron unos años difíciles, oscuros, que dejaron una marca indeleble en nuestro
país.
Mi abuelo tenía 23 años cuando una madrugada del 17 de julio
de 1940 dejó escrita una emotiva carta para su mujer y su hija, a la que no
llegó a conocer, dos horas antes de ser fusilado. Esta figura es un pequeño
homenaje a su memoria.
